This one was created to host dvd rips of rare soundtrack pieces. Because I remember how desperate I was to get that song by Smudged Ink. from 'Ripper: letter from Hell' soundtrack which was never released. As well as 'Beneath the skin' by Lori Cullen from Ginger Snaps Unleashed. And so on. So when I got my hands on those dvds I created this group. http://movies.groups.yahoo.com/group/rvonline

Away - Cold /rus/ The story behind this page & my acquaintance with band Cold is following: couple of years ago I saw their video on MUZ-TV & really liked it, but it was shown without ID, so only in 2002 with the help of guys at Alternative Online I found out that it was their superb sophomore video "Give". The muse for the page was Scooter Ward's daugher Raven: the image of Raven, running to her father, inspired all the visual idea of site. Besides, I had rare opportunity to toy with such an audacious color scheme:) Denez
Prigent /eng/ The only one reason I made this one - total absence of information on this Bretonian singer in the English-speaking web. I just kinda fill in want. He definetely has the best of all the vocals I've ever heard... And Bretonian... mmm... such a lovely language :) finger
eleven:::Ocean::: /rus/ I was checking all the Wind-up bands & eventually end up at f11 official site. I already heard them on Scream 3 stdk, but it took 'First time' video to hook me once and for all. The gentle Scott's vocal at "Feels like the first time We'd fallen behind No use is the other one to wait' lines knocked down all my prejudices about contemporary alternative music in America - I even listen to Staind now! =) But f11 remains the only one band I trust entirely - they will never fuck up, I believe in them. 2004 update: they did though. Russian
Heartagram - Russian HIM Portal /rus/eng/ The ancestor of this portal, I love HIM http://creed.narod.ru, appeared in the end of 2000, when this band wasn't well-known anywhere but Europe, http://talk.mail.ru/forum/talk.ru.music.him was tight community of about 10 fans. Much water has flowed under the bridges since then, at the moment HIM are world wide famous, but we still alive & kicking with this renovated webproject :) update: January 2003 I retired being kinda tired of the gothic scene in general and HIM in particular. Paul
Franklin Dano WebSite /eng/ watch "L.I.E' and you'll get why I made this one. Creed
/rus/ Being a Scream fan, I heard Creed @ Scream 3 stdk & for the first time in my life became addicted to rock :) Though I don't listen to them now, line "I've created my own prison " still rings in my head now and then & I still take care of the site (sometimes :) unOfficial
John Simm WebSite /eng/ I saw that movie with John Simm, 'Boston Kickout' & it stunned me in lots of ways... Being the child of little town myself, I can share protagonist's feelings. I liked John in that role & also wanted to check if I manage to make site in foreign language & promote it properly. I succed, but then lost interest in this project & hand it over to one nice English girl. That time she lived in town, where movie with Christina Ricci & John was filmed... I guess, now she neglected the page too & I can't blame her - just no source for information. In 2004 I watched "Best Boys" & took over the site again:) Russian
James Spader Site /rus/ I really don't remember why I made this one :) Though it was good translating practice - reading those articles now I sometimes laugh, sometimes reflect on how academic education changes your manner of work as translator. Russian
Brad Renfro Site /rus/ That was my first site ever, winter '99 or so I watched SK's "Apt Pupil" & Brad Renfro was superb in the role of wicked little nazi :) I already began fooling around with Netscape Composer, so I made page about him... the first layot was pretty crappy. In fact, the next one too LOL But anyway it contains some useful information about Brad Renfro, so I decided to reanimate it... just like memory |
